24/7 emergency service
It broke at 2 a.m. Of course it did. We’re awake.
No cooling on a 104-degree afternoon. No heat with a parent staying over. Water headed for the drywall. A person answers at any hour, and a technician rolls when it can’t wait.

Know the signs
What counts as an emergency
No cooling above 95°F
In a South Texas summer, a dead AC is a health issue, not an inconvenience — especially for the very young and very old.
No heat below 40°F
Rare here, and that is exactly why houses aren’t built for it. Pipes and people both suffer.
Water through the ceiling
Shut the system off at the thermostat, put a bucket under it, and call. We’ll stop the water first.
Burning or electrical smell
Turn the system off at the breaker. Don’t restart it to “see if it does it again.” It will.
A vulnerable person at home
Tell us. Calls involving infants, elderly family, or medical conditions go to the front of the line.

What happens on the visit
Four steps. No mysteries.
- 1
A person answers
Not a menu, not a voicemail. A trained dispatcher, at any hour, every day of the year.
- 2
Two-minute triage
If it can safely wait until morning, we say so and save you the dispatch fee. If it can’t, a tech is assigned on the spot.
- 3
ETA by text
You get the technician’s name and a live arrival time. No porch-light vigils.
- 4
Fixed or made safe
Most emergencies are fixed on the spot. The rest are made safe tonight and finished first thing tomorrow.
Prices, out loud
What it usually costs.
Typical ranges around San Antonio, published because you deserve to know before anybody knocks. Your exact price comes in writing, after the diagnosis and before the work.
Same flat-rate prices day or night, a person on the phone at any hour, and honest triage that tells you when it can wait.
| Job | Typical range |
|---|---|
| After-hours dispatchWaived for Hive Club members. Always. | $79 |
| Diagnostic visitCredited toward the repair, same as daytime. | $89 |
| RepairsWe don’t keep a separate price book for 2 a.m. | Daytime prices |
The night price book, and why we burned ours
Much of this industry keeps two price books: one for daylight and one for the hours when people are scared, sweating, and holding a phone in the dark. The second book is thicker. It is the most profitable document in the building.
We don’t have one. The capacitor costs what it cost at lunch. There is a $79 dispatch fee after hours, which pays a technician to get out of bed at midnight, and Hive Club members don’t pay even that.
We also tell you when it can wait. A dispatcher who says “turn it off, close the blinds, we’ll be there at eight” has just saved you a fee and earned a customer for twenty years. That trade is the business.

Yes. A trained dispatcher answers every call, every hour, every day — including holidays. There is no voicemail tree to fall into.
A $79 after-hours dispatch fee, waived for Hive Club members. The $89 diagnostic and the repair prices are exactly the same as daytime.
Inside San Antonio, typically within two to three hours at night; outlying areas can take a little longer. You get a live ETA by text once the tech is rolling.
For a leak, turn the system off and catch the water. For no cooling, close blinds, run ceiling fans, and keep vulnerable family in the coolest room. For an electrical smell, shut it off at the breaker.
It is a gas emergency first. Leave the house without flipping switches, then call 911 or the gas utility from outside. Once it is declared safe, we’ll repair the appliance.
