Indoor air quality · measured, not guessed

You breathe about 20,000 times a day. Most of them happen indoors.

Cedar season, construction dust, the dog, and the humidity that turns a closet into a terrarium. We test what’s in the air, then fix the few things that actually matter.

Book an air quality assessment

We measure the air room by room and show you the numbers before we suggest anything.

What’s going on?

Know the signs

Your air might be the problem if…

01

Allergies improve on vacation

If you feel better in a hotel than at home, the home is trying to tell you something.

02

Dust returns overnight

Leaky return ducts pull attic dust straight into the living room. Cleaning faster won’t fix it.

03

A musty smell at startup

Moisture on a dark coil grows things. The smell is the first warning.

04

Humidity above 60%

Above that line, dust mites and mold get comfortable. Below it, you do.

05

Someone at home has asthma

Filtration and humidity control are not luxuries for lungs that are already working hard.

The calendar shows today’s real openings.

What happens on the visit

Four steps. No mysteries.

  1. 1

    Measure first

Particulates, humidity, VOCs, and carbon dioxide, room by room. You see the numbers on the spot.

  2. 2

    Fix the airflow

Seal leaky returns and fix the ductwork that’s inhaling the attic. Often the biggest win, rarely the most expensive.

  3. 3

    Filter and treat, right-sized

Media filters that don’t strangle airflow, whole-home dehumidifiers, and UV for the coil — only what the readings justify.

  4. 4

    Re-test to prove it

We measure again after the work. If the numbers didn’t move, neither does your invoice.

An industry that sells air in a box

The air-quality business has a weakness for gadgets. There are ionizers, ozone generators, glowing purple wands, and filters with names like sports cars. Some of them help. Some of them make the air worse while making a pleasant humming noise.

We start with a meter, which is less exciting and more useful. Most homes have one or two real problems — a leaky return duct pulling attic air, humidity that never comes down, a filter that is either useless or so restrictive it starves the system. Fix those and the gadgets become mostly unnecessary.

We don’t install anything that produces ozone. We do install the things that measurably work, and we prove it with a second test. That is the whole pitch. It is not very exciting. It is very effective.

FAQ

Indoor Air Quality: questions, answered

Sometimes — after a remodel, a pest problem, or visible debris. Often the bigger win is duct sealing, which stops dust from entering in the first place. The assessment tells us which you need.

For most homes, MERV 8 to 11 in a standard slot, or MERV 11 to 13 in a deep media cabinet built for it. Thin MERV 13 filters in a one-inch slot can choke airflow and raise your bill.

Some devices produce ozone, a lung irritant. We don’t install those. We recommend proven filtration, humidity control, and UV for the coil.

It can. Drier air feels cooler, so many households raise the thermostat two or three degrees and stay comfortable. In humid parts of town, it pays for itself in comfort first and savings second.

We can’t move the cedar trees. We can keep their pollen out of your house with sealed returns and proper filtration, which many allergy sufferers find makes a real difference.
