The extraction —

Wix has no exit door. We build one.

The platform famously offers no export — your site cannot leave, only be rebuilt free of it. Done right, the rankings come along and the ad-supported ceiling stays behind.

Wix exports nothing. The rebuild is the export.

Wix deserves a moment of professional respect: no platform in the industry is better at getting a site up in an afternoon, and none is better at making sure it never leaves. There is no export. No backup you can take elsewhere, no files to hand a new builder — the site exists inside Wix or it does not exist. For an HVAC company that has spent years building a web presence there, that is not a technical footnote; it is the whole negotiation.

How the extraction works

  • Full inventory: every page, image, and URL cataloged from the outside, since the inside offers no door.
  • Ground-up rebuild in the house standard — hand-coded, sub-second, built for booking rather than for the editor’s convenience.
  • One-to-one redirects filed at switchover, so years of accumulated rankings transfer instead of resetting — the same discipline as any platform replacement.
  • The machinery Wix never allowed: field-software integration, honest call tracking, and city-level local SEO.

What changes on day eleven

The differences are not cosmetic. Wix sites carry structural weight no setting removes — rendering choices that slow first paint on exactly the phone-in-a-hot-house visits where HVAC jobs are won, and an SEO ceiling that town-by-town competitors clear easily. The replacement loads in well under a second, books straight into your dispatch board, and reports its results in booked jobs through the dashboard — the standard of evidence this shop applies to everything, including itself.

The extraction runs the ten-day process, flat-priced, with the Wix site untouched and live until the DNS flips — no gap a customer could fall through. Price the ceiling first with the cost-per-job calculator, then call. The exit door takes ten days to build and lasts the rest of the company’s life.

Fair questions, straight answers

Is it true Wix sites cannot be exported at all?+

For practical purposes, yes — Wix provides no site export. Content is retrieved from the rendered pages, images collected at full resolution where they exist, and the structure rebuilt cleanly. The rebuild is the export, which is precisely why it must be done by someone careful with redirects.

Will Google penalize the site for moving off Wix?+

No — Google rewards the outcomes of a well-run move: faster pages, cleaner structure, one-to-one redirects. Rankings typically hold through the switch and improve as the speed and schema advantages register. The risk lives entirely in sloppy migrations, not in leaving Wix.

My Wix subscription renews soon — how should I time this?+

Call before you renew. The build takes ten days, so even a near renewal usually leaves room to launch first and let the subscription lapse instead of paying another year for a site you are leaving. If the renewal is truly imminent, month-to-month bridges the gap for less than the annual plan.

Don’t sweat it —

Let’s talk about wix replacement.

One call. A fixed price, a real date, and the person who will personally do the work on the other end of the line.
